Our team brings diverse backgrounds in design, strategy, and digital, offering a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to build and evolve a brand, and keep that brand relevant. While we specialize in luxury wine branding, our work also spans industries like wellness, sports, and non-profits. We are a collection of animal lovers, wine drinkers, amateur chefs, plant-based eaters, comedy fiends, lego aficionados, sci-fi geeks, gamers and podcast-lovers. Try us on for size.

Resisting the Usual – Since 1996

How it all started

DESIGNTHIS! began in 1996, when Los Angeles creatives Kim Shaeffer and Amy Predmore traded city life for Napa Valley. They saw a unique opportunity: wineries were producing world-class wines, but their branding and systems weren’t keeping pace.

Both had been shaping their creative paths since high school—Kim in a print shop, learning the craft of production and the power of visuals, and Amy through her self-published gymnastics zine, discovering how design, writing and technology could connect people. Their shared drive to build something of their own sparked the idea for a studio that could help brands not just look better, but work smarter.

From their first winery projects to long-standing partnerships with Napa icons like Far Niente, Chateau Montelena, and Bouchaine Vineyards, that vision has guided them ever since.
